The Good Son by You-Jeong Jeong

5.0

I am in awe. This book is brilliant. I was absolutely fascinated while I read this. I feel like it was made just for me, it’s exactly what I look for in this type of stories.
The main character is perfectly crafted; everything he thinks, feels or does makes sense with who he is; being inside his mind, reading his voice, is what makes this book so amazing. Sometimes Yu-jin seems to be aware of who he is, and sometimes he seems oblivious. And I loved how the author uses the unreliable narrator to make the reader think and feel different things throughout the book, it was all perfectly planned.
This book will go straight to my “favourites” shelf. I cannot express how much I loved it. It made me incredibly happy. I really didn’t want it to end.
