Okay here we go. Here we go [shaking like a small dog]

This book actually gutted me like a fish. I came here right after the last line and i literally feel emptied out this is insane. I love it so so much but I don’t appreciate the amount of emotional distress it’s left me in honestly. I had to take 3-4 day long breaks in between reading binges because I’d get so worked up reading it and the last two acts were by far the most stressful. I started reading this book thinking it was going to be something slow, and more youthful and I could not have been more wrong if I tried holy shit. Every single character has proved themselves lovable in some way (Yes, even Richard) even though they’re all deeply flawed and I think that’s just so lovely. Oliver is my favourite kind of main character as well (he’s selfish and a coward and literally the best guy you’ll ever meet), which made this book so enjoyable. I just love him so much.

I can’t really say much other than I love it so much and I am immediately buying my own copy, so here are my favourite not so emotionally destroying parts. Things that make me feel bright and good. Obvious spoiler warning, sorry I can’t make the censoring work.

Filippa: “I thought it was dignity, modesty, and personal pride.”
Me: “She told me dignity, modesty, and self-doubt.”

I LOLed. Gotta love Gwendolyn

“I think he was enamored with you because you were so enamored with him.”

James you are so leo venus it’s embarrassing.

“Meredith’s gone. I don’t want to sleep alone.” Finally I understood the feeling.”

I love Pip and Oliver so fucking much it makes my teeth hurt. Freak duo of the century.
