The Left Hand of Darkness, by Ursula K. Le Guin

challenging informative reflective slow-paced
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

keeping in mind the year this was written it felt very revolutionary.
although the story felt a bit dry at times and the names and terms were a bit hard to keep track of i did really enjoy it in the end.
