“It’s impossible to compete with the dead. I wished I could stop trying.”
Decadently dark and impossible to put down. The writing feels so organic, akin to memoir, and you’re so close to Camille as to be suffocated in the same ways she is. Strangely difficult to escape her logic, her mind, and see objectivity. The whole book is sticky and hot. An incredible gothic mystery.
