I hate to say it but I was disappointed by the last book. All the others got a 4 or 4.5 but I just felt like this one fell short for a few reasons.
- It was way too long for the content inside, so much time was spent on Gabriel and other side characters that I just didn’t feel like was necessary for how they tied into the ending.
- The conflict was always so easily tied in a bow.
Like how when Lor escapes Willow and Tristan just happen to be in the same town? It’s just too convenient - In general the conflict didn’t grip me.
The fairytale ending was a bit much for me. Every single conflict was solve and every person lived happily ever after so easily. All the far are free and there was never a problem again! It’s so unrealistic. I would have appreciated it more if some things were resolved but others weren’t and there was a hint towards a better future without just saying oh yeah they napped their fingers and fixed everything with no problems.
