3.5

Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I hate to say it but I was disappointed by the last book. All the others got a 4 or 4.5 but I just felt like this one fell short for a few reasons.
  1. It was way too long for the content inside, so much time was spent on Gabriel and other side characters that I just didn’t feel like was necessary for how they tied into the ending.
  2. The conflict was always so easily tied in a bow.
Like how when Lor escapes Willow and Tristan just happen to be in the same town? It’s just too convenient
  3. In general the conflict didn’t grip me.
  4. The fairytale ending was a bit much for me. Every single conflict was solve and every person lived happily ever after so easily. All the far are free and there was never a problem again! It’s so unrealistic. I would have appreciated it more if some things were resolved but others weren’t and there was a hint towards a better future without just saying oh yeah they napped their fingers and fixed everything with no problems.
