I really enjoyed the first half (Mike as a human grown up on Mars learning human society), and I still liked the second part, but there was an obvious shift inbetween. It's also amazing how extremely modern & utopian the book feels in parts, while at other times it's obvious it was written in the 60ies (sexust or homophobic remarks). Overall I enjoyed it, although it developed very differently from what I expected.
