A quick read and twisty plot with insufferable characters. Verity may have been the only character I could deal with, and that’s because she was in a coma for most of it. Lowen complained and literally stated the same stuff over and over again, and Jeremy, with the personality of the boards he’s tearing out of his dock,  just wants to get you pregnant and make sure you write books for $ so he can murder. I don’t know, it was good but not great and while others compare this to The Housemaid, I by far loved that book much more.
