This book was a fascinating read that had me looking up fungi, Polish history, gods, and much more so I could keep up. But I loved to do it. The conversation and debate about the relationship between translators and author was fascinating to read and see play out. It was slyly funny with the translator's notes providing perspective from another character. While it was slow, it kept me enthralled.
