I find the Orc Disaster arc somewhat more engaging here than I recall from the anime. Not that it was bad there, but everything feels a bit more grounded and Rimuru seems genuinely unsure of how things are set to go in each situation.
At the same time, the plot feels a little overly convenient at times and Gabil is even more annoying than I recall. While I like the ogre characters a lot, they really feel like they supplant the goblins in most matters. It's understandable, but also a little disappointing.
