This was a disappointing end to the series. We get glimpses of Beau in the other books, but I couldn't make myself care about him as a character. The same goes for Bailey who we know even less. I think this would have been better as an earlier book in the series when we could have seen the characters a bit more to really know them as the books go on.

I'm not a fan of age gap or the virgin/experienced tropes, so maybe this was doomed from the start. It didn't help that they brought it up constantly. Bailey is 22 years old, but lived a life full of trauma and abuse. That likely makes her act older than her age, but it's also never really discussed or worked out. Both characters seem to have a "therapy is for wimps" mindset when they both NEED IT.
