Twilight is that crispy bag of fries with a dollop of ketchup that is salty, fat and hits the spot, but not really healthy if that's all you eat. It was a fun read when I was in high school and it got me back into reading. For that, it's lovely. For a fantasy romance, sure thing. Character wise, if you stare at it too hard it kinda falls apart. Also in hindsight Bella is very blandly written. She has no discernable flaws apart from being cLuMsY, which I guess is meant to make it easier to relate. Is it significantly worse than otehr books in this genre? No.
