Mickey/Roman and Bella are a beautifully broken couple, and the book really does start off with a bang. I felt that there was something missing. I can't really put my finger on what I felt was missing exactly though honestly. It was hard for me to get over Bella's "woe is me" attitude that lasts the entire book. Mickey has only what I would describe as a very processive sour patch kid attitude. I would have loved some more of their story after they got their fake IDs and started their lives together after all the chaos.
This is the second book I've read by Avina St. Graves and I do truly enjoy her writing style.
