We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer

this book was unsettling and creepy, in the best way horror books can be. it has an interesting premise. i feel like this book had a lot of good horror elements and some were done well. i think it fell flat in execution. a lot of descriptions of the house were creepy and scary. i did want to keep reading to see how it'd wrap up but i think with the little inserted excerpts you saw where it was going. the ending was good and you couldn't really see it ending any other way.
the characterization kind of lacked and i didn't feel invested in anyone even though they were lesbians - that was about the excitement there.
an easy, entertaining enough read. but the hype was not there for me unforch. maybe it'll be a better movie.
