The concept of this book is far better then the execution. There's a lack of structure to the plot and frankly a lack or urgency considering death is on the line. It's certainly atmospheric but everything feels low stakes and the characters are intended to shine new light on stories we've heard before and somehow ended up leaving me feeling less compelled by those stories than before
