The start of this book was a slog, but I pushed through because I really enjoyed Backman’s previous book, A Man Called Ove. Still, I found the characters really annoying, even though I do understand that they were meant to be idiotic. Admittedly, I might just be feeling moody lately, but I was impatiently waiting for the book to make its point. Comedy was reminiscent of a modern day Oscar Wilde.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts and Suicide
Moderate: Death, Kidnapping, and Death of parent
Minor: Gun violence
