Nuts! Bad nuts! A batch of bad nuts turn out to be central to the mystery in this one. While celebrating their first Saturnalia as a married couple, Flavia Albia and Tiberius also adjust to becoming the guardians of his two young nephews who recently lost their mother. Most of the story is lite on the crime solving in favor of some domestic life, but catches up in the second half to a satisfying crescendo. I also really liked seeing more of Falco and Helena Justina than in previous entries.

Io, Saturnalia!
