Was hovering between a 3.75 and 4 for this one, but 4 just got it for the way that Sally Rooney manages to make mundane, everyday, "seen it all before" stories and scenarios so compelling to read about, even when I don't particularly care for the characters!

How does she do it?

Definitely preferred Normal People.

The main subject matter of this one further conflicts my feelings, but ultimately I was intrigued.
