Maggi was a young girl when a traumatic event changed her life. Her response was to be mute and only speak through knocks and written notes. Her childhood crush and step brother’s best friend has always been able to understand her. A love blooms between them as teens, but with Maggi unable to speak or leave her home, he has to leave to chase his dreams.
Years go by as Brooks and his band make it big. He still loves Maggi but she pushed him away. He’s dating someone else, but they don’t speak the language he and Maggi do.
This has a second chance romance that happens in the last 40 or so percent.
I didn’t read the first two in this series and this was a complete standalone!
