I loved the whole Nancy Drew meets the publishing world, but I was confused about how Sam's and Inspector Field's involvement started. One minute he's reprimanding her for playing Ms. Detective and the next he's caressing her neck and off to her bedroom they go. I even back-tracked and skimmed pages to see if I missed hints. Anyway, I thought the transition to their relationship could have been much smoother.
