This book had me so mixed up with emotions. I hated Gabriel and then I loved him. But it felt very on par for a TL Swan hero. He is very much an alpha-hole. We start off with Grace preparing to leave her job and her home to escape these unrequited feelings she has for her boss. Gabriel gives Grace a going away present she will never forget. But it also leaves her more angry with him.
Their story after their first time is everything but easy. There is a lot of anger and hard feelings. But you can also tell there is a deep love that runs between them. Gabriel is furious when he finds out about his children. He acts a little bit irrationally but the way those kids warm his heart quickly was so adorable.
CJ Bloom and Sean Masters were perfect for this audio. Sean Masters as the grumpy temperamental billionaire boss was exactly like I expected. CJ Bloom portrayed Grace with such ease. I loved how she really showed Grace as sweet but didn’t put up with Gabriel’s cr@p.
