this book is amazing
beware the narrator is lestat de lioncourt and he might not be for everyone since he is iconic but so fucking annoying in a silly goofy way with dark and fucked up sprinkled about.
this book is about lestat de lioncourt writing a book about the story of his life, and mostly to go agaisnt how louis wrote about him in his book (interview with the vampire). yeah, he is silly like that.
lestat is canonically bisexual, and canonically flamboyant and canonically a chronic fuck-upper. this book is dark, fun, hilarious and many more things. his story starts in the current day and then we learn from his childhood when he was still a human, about the people he loves, about being turned into a vampire, meeting armand, seeking more powerful vampires and all the way to know his side of what it's told in the interview with the vampire book.
by the end of this book, the action is amazing, very movie-like, yes, with even a san francisco car chase. and one of my favorites scenes of the entire chronicles so far... the night before the concert... if you know, you know.
loved this book very much.
