A wonderful start to the Pumpkin Falls Mystery series. The main character is Truly Lovejoy. Her family has just moved to Pumpkin Falls, New Hampshire from Texas after her father is seriously injured in Afghanistan.
The Lovejoy family comes from a long line of Lovejoys who were some of the first settlers in Pumpkin Falls. Truly’s grandparents own a bookstore, and her father and eccentric aunt are going to run it.
When Truly finds a mysterious letter tucked into a book, it starts her on a scavenger hunt all around town.
This was a such a good story. I enjoyed all of the townsfolk and the setting was small town cozy.
