Was expecting a slow burn, tense murder mystery/thriller. Instead I got a drawn out flowery family drama.
I don't understand how it could be so slow yet so jarring and disjointed. There was a whopping 261 chapters in this book. So about 2-4 pages on average per chapter. I strongly disliked the writing style. The mini chapters would leave on a cliff hanger, then the next chapter it would pick up a few days later after the event. We were told things and not shown them leaving me frustrated and confused to where I was in the story/timeline.
Couldn't connect with the characters as none of them felt realistic or believable.
The "clues" to catch the killer felt ridiculous and weak. I don't understand how they didn't catch the killer earlier.
