For a book that was hyped as amazons number one book of 2024 I was a bit letdown.  I needed less play by play of the games and more about the men, the culture and more of the history of perhaps the deaf school itself.

I liked learned about “the huddle” and the challenges the boys faced and the steadfastness and determination that had to win.

Missing emotional connection to this story. And not sure I learned a ton
