The concept here is not new but it is done very well. It feels like a psychological thriller with moments of supernatural - perhaps even none, depending on your reading. I haven’t watched the show but from what I gather this is vastly different than Netflix’s adaptation. I really liked the slow burn of the story and the finale. I was actually rather surprised by the main character choosing to crash her car into a tree, but it felt like the right ending to complete her descent into madness.
