Loved this book! This trilogy is quickly becoming one of my favourite epic fantasy series. Atwater-Rhodes masterfully crafts a vivid magical world caught in a war, with dark monsters you'd rather not dream about. The time jump backwards in this book was interesting, I kept wondering how the story could jump from this book to the events of the first, it kept me wondering!
