Three sisters, Sloane, Lyra and Nova, and their Grandmother, Broca, return to Briarhaven in the Scottish Highlands to try and break a curse that has plagued their family for centuries. While they do bring a blizzard and magical misfirings to the town, they also find old and new friends who are far more than they seem. Love's a Witch is charming and heartfelt, with love pouring out of every chapter.

Briarhaven, the main town of the story, is so whimsical and has such a tight-knit community. Even with the snowpocalypse that happens in the book, the town makes the best of it and turns it into a winter wonderland.
The main characters, Sloane and Knox, were so well matched. The banter between them was so fun and flirty and honestly who wouldn't fall for Knox with his sense of humor. They were also so supportive of each other, which is something they both needed.
The side characters were what really sold the story. The MacGregor sisters and their grandmother were pretty fun, including their squabbles. And the love and support between them was palpable. The Charms coven was a great addition and had me laughing and rolling my eyes at their nonsense. The towns people were unique and I liked getting little glimpses into who they were and what businesses they ran and how they supported each other. And my very favorite, the creatures, which were an absolute delight! Haggis and Oswald were hilarious together, and then you add in Blue to the mix and it was a dream come true for this animal lover. The addition of other magical creatures throughout the story was also a good time.
Overall this story is fun and nostalgic of magical books and shows I loved as a kid. I'm excited to see the series grow and what other things the sisters will get up to.
