The Trouble with Peace by Joe Abercrombie

4.0

This is probably my second favorite French Revolution fantasy reskin (The [a:Django Wexler|639491|Django Wexler|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1357865518p2/639491.jpg] being by far the best) with a nice handful of Ludditism thrown in. But overall, this book drags a little. Some of the writing indulgences (like the same event from 10 different POVs section in the mid-section of the book) do not benefit the story at all. But still very enjoyable and there is impressive amounts of character change and development. The eternally grey nature of everyone makes this feel like such a lived-in world.
