Kacy & Michael move to Texas after a scandal in NJ drive them out. Kacy knows she needs to make new friends in her neighborhood, & is pleasantly surprised when she does. Her new best friend, Lena, happens to be their neighbor. The husbands get along, they spend a lot of time together, everything is perfect.

Wrong. When Michael is at the neighbor’s house, he watches the husband commit a crime, everything changes.

We as the reader know exactly who the “bad guys” are & everything that happened, but Kacy & Michael do not. Between chapters, there are transcripts of a crime podcast covering the case, and I felt that was a great addition to help move the story along.

Quick little thriller that I enjoyed. Not as shocking or surprising as I’d have liked, but I still liked it & I’m thankful to NetGalley for the eArc!
