The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

5.0

Oh my gosh! This book was fantastic, yet so disturbing. I love the twist of the wronged woman turning the tables on those manipulating and abusing her. At first, Daphne may have just acted in terror when faced with her husband's overbearing and scary temperament, but in the end she found a way for her voice to be heard. I love books where women find a way to break away and become independent from those trying to hold them down. I also liked reading the two varied viewpoints of the two different women. When you are reading from Amber's perspective, you think Daphne is such a fool for allowing Amber to get so close to her husband. But, when you start reading from Daphne's perspective, you realize that Daphne was orchestrating the whole thing and was, in fact, the puppet-master. It was so liberating and such a relief.
