After an amazing first book in the series, this one was a huge letdown. My husband I were both listening to it and then discussing each chapter and we both had the hardest time getting into the book. The story was simply not that gripping. We had to keep going back to listen again because we weren't sure what happened - or if anything happened. And when the whole Seton part started (Ceton? Zeton? - Don't know how it is written as I was listening in a language were all these sibilant-sounds sound the same) I was just not interested. He was simply a character I didn't want to know better. And then there was the end. To be honest, I'm not sure how the book ended and what actually happened to each characters. And that is really disappointing because I really cared for some of these characters. That said, Niklas Natt och Dag proved to us in 1793 that he is an amazing author. Maybe this book just needed a bit more editing.
