One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig

adventurous dark mysterious tense medium-paced

3.0

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️
  • Gothic. Dark. Chilling. So much fall vibes.
  • A dark voice is always in elspeths mind. The nightmare she calls it. It helps her.
  • There are these cards. They remind me of tarot cards that give the holder of them the magical ability of what’s on the card.
  • The nightmare voice reminds me of dragons speaking with the riders
  • Lots of found family.
  • The first two parts were confusing to me, the magic system in place with cards took awhile for my brain to understand.
  • The ending was so good. Already placed a hold for the second book. Ends on a cliffhanger
