3.0

Things I liked about this book include:
Slow-burn/forbidden romance
Violence/battle
Strong FMC who can think for herself

Things I didn’t like about this book include:
The name Bjorn (I’m sorry)
Story felt a little unoriginal
The endless conflict
The way the MMC talked

Im pretty much in the middle here. I wasn’t bored the whole time by any means. There is plenty of action and story to keep you interested, but some of the storyline felt reused for similar to other romantasy books I’ve read. But that’s with any genre, I guess.

It was an okay story and the audiobook is great for those who love listening to accents to go along with the story. It was really easy to stay in the story listening to it. But it just fell a little flat for me and I wouldn’t put it on any favorites list.

Tropes:
Slow-Burn
Forbidden
Forced Proximity

Spice:
2.5 🌶️
