Stalker by Lars Kepler

5.0

One of the good things about downloading books from netgalley is how it's opened my eyes to lots of new (to me) authors.  I then end up going out and either buying the back catalogues or taking advantage of the local library for some mass borrowing. This is no exception to that. My first of Keplers' and I will definitely be going back for the rest.

It was such an enjoyable thriller and kept me guessing right up until the big reveal. Then it was a race against time to rescue the final victims. It's a real page turner and I found it difficult to put down.
Even though it's the fifth installment I didn't feel like I'd missed anything by not having read the others however I w=definitely need to go back to them as I want to know the full story as to how Joona ended up faking his own death and living on a farm, no longer a policeman.
I was reading this book whilst on a coach heading to Wales and the lady next to me asked what the book was (on kindle so not obvious). When I told her, she mentioned how she hadn't read the book but apparently BBC4 have been showing a TV series about this detective! And she'd really enjoyed it. Now I have that to add to my watch list too and she is going to go get the books because I was enjoying the written version so much. I love how stories bring us together.

So yeah, I loved it, the lady loved the TV show and I'm looking forward to reading the rest.
