If you took the Roman Empire, Game of Thrones, and The Expanse, and blended them all up, this series could be the result. This book completes "The Trilogy" and ends nicely.

There is excellent world building, superb character development, and the story is wonderful; It really has something for everyone: Intrigue, action, suspense, adventure... all rolled up in a sci-fi/fantasy that few authors would be able to pull off.

I read the unabridged audiobook and it was expertly narrated. I started the series off reading the first book as a Graphic Audio. While it was produced well, it just didn't grip me as much as the narrated audiobook. I read the 2nd and 3rd books unabridged, but the Graphic Audiobook is available for both these books if that is to your taste.

The author has released another set of three books occurring after this series ends, and another, 7th book coming out this year. I've already added the 4th book to my queue.
