Sense of Direction: Some Observations on the Art of Directing by William Ball

medium-paced

3.5

A solid handbook of advice for directors hampered by its paternalistic writing style and the author's tendency to micro-manage. I do think there is a lot of genuinely useful information in this book, there are just some moments where it becomes apparent that this was written by someone who was perhaps a bit too involved in some areas he shouldn't have been (the big one is the section on costume fittings).
