You Can Kill by Rebecca Zanetti

5.0

You Can Kill was so good! It kept me guessing the whole way through and I loved the tension that was built as the story progressed, it had you questioning everyone!

This felt like a stripped back story in terms of secondary characters giving more focus to Laurel and Huck. The emotional strength that they obviously draw from each other is becoming more apparent and it makes for a great relationship for them. Even with the stripped back feel this story wasn't lacking in any way. It had all the drama and suspense that I've come to expect and love from this series and has me really appreciating the skill Rebecca Zanetti has to illustrate the isolation within this book so subtly and eloquently.

This definitely needs to be read as part of the series, I wouldn't recommend reading it as a standalone as some of the key topics need the background of the previous books to fully understand what's going on.
