okay, i'll be bold enough. perhaps, it's a brutal opinion but i need to be honest.
this book is not good at all. i gave up after reading 8 pages, lmao. the reason?
i read the indonesian translated of this book. i've never and WILL NEVER read a single ‘too-much-blabbers’ book in my life. and this book.. got me messed up, bruh. dari halaman awal sampe halaman 8, aku nggak ngerti sama sekali dengan isi bukunya.
“kan baru baca sampe halaman 8. gimana mau tau alurnya?”
ugh, the writing style.. is bad, honestly (not the translator's writing style). aku paham banget sama perasaan penerjemahnya. pasti susah banget terjemahin satu buku yang isinya cuap cuap non-sense, ahaha. makanya, i really appreciate the translator. good job. the translator did a very well job.
karena apa? karena bahasa yang digunakan sama kakak translator is kinda understandable.
mmm, not really understandable, sih. tetap susah. but i just know that the original book is worse.
i'm not a fan of English classic books. tapi buku klasik ini, rasanya berat banget buat dibaca—walaupun aku cuma baca beberapa buku klasik sebelum Heart of Darkness. this isn't the type of English classic i wanna read. nah. never.
