I really WANT to like Libba Bray's books!! I've seen her on a couple of YA panels at TLA and think she is really cool and hilarious! Someone I would LOVE to hang out with- BUT I just could not get into this one. I listened to it- which can sometimes add to my frustration if the story kind of drags or gets repetitive- no skimming in audio books! I also liked the premise of the book and understood kind of what she was trying to do- it's just that it felt kind of forced and heavy-handed. Anyway- I know there are people out there who thought this book was extremely funny- so don't take my word for it- give it a shot and see what you think. I did love Diviners BTW.
