fun and eerie for the second half.
i struggled through the first third and for me it was hard to connect with these characters. Their dynamics weren’t super compelling through most of the book.
i can’t help but feel like the detailed writing hindered the story in places.
mostly didn’t dnf this in the first third because i want to see the movie adaptation coming out soon….
