A Cook's Tour: Global Adventures in Extreme Cuisines by Anthony Bourdain

5.0

Easily my favorite book by Tony Bourdain. This was him on the cusp of his celebrity. There's refinement to his writing but it still feels like it has an edge to it, he still has something to prove, and he was still the sassy New Yorker from Kitchen Confidential. This book is an interesting journey across the global landscape of food, and it's a sentimental one. Beneath the guarded gonzo is an optimistic look at humanity through the lens of nourishment.
