Not my typical read but an excellently whimsical book that I sought to break up a long string of dark and difficult books. While this book itself does not veer from dark subject matter, each story felt like it wrapped up in a hopeful and sweet way. Highly recommend to those not fully immersed in magical realism as a good segway deeper into the genre.
