heartstopper: volume two hit hard this time round. nick and charlie are such precious boys, and the cast of characters of their families, friends, and classmates rly showed the ups and downs and complicated navigation of both being out and closeted. nick's struggles of coming to terms with his newfound identity brought me to tears and it was particularly relatable, but it was so great to see his support system.

loved many of this volume's scenes as well, esp the beach scene; it was so tranquil and lovely. this book felt filled w/ all that is good and loving in the world, so tender, reaffirming, cute, kind, pure, yet realistic; it also made me squeal and gush and tear up.

reading this gave me unadulterated joy and peaceful happiness. the heartstopper series have def cemented itself as my comfort books.
