I didn’t love it. I’m a fan of the author’s previous work but I found the magic system lackluster and at times downright uncomfortable -very dark gothic vibes. Some holes for me in construction. Though the premise  of “divine” wellsprings or waters was really interesting and sent me on a side quest. As an aside I listened to audiobook version and I think it was the wrong format for me. Some sequences were hard to envision and I found the atmosphere distracted me from the plot at times. I’d be thinking about an image and have to go back because I missed whole scenes. Would have preferred to read it myself. But man can Rachel Gillig write yearning. I mean Rory is a babe. And the Gargoyle was very endearing. Will continue but not my favourite
