And VE Schwab has, once again, knocked it out of the park. This duology/trilogy (I’m staying positive okay there MIGHT be a third book you never know) might, MIGHT, actually be my favourite I’ve read of hers. It’s just SO good, man. Plotting, characters, the world building, writing, everything is just so good. The way VE Schwab creates her characters makes them so believable and interesting. Throughout this book you get so many different perspectives and you find yourself somehow rooting for all of them even though they’re all on different sides. That’s another thing, there are so many different sides and opinions, it’s the complete opposite of black and white. And none of these sides are completely good or bad. It’s just so interesting!
The concept is really interesting as well; the way the powers work, how they are attained, and the kind of powers there are were super interesting.
Essentially, great book. GREAT.
