The Stay-at-Home Mother
by Nicole Trope
Andrea has just moved to a new neighborhood with her three-year-old son Jack and her husband Terry. Terry has a gambling problem that caused the loss of their home. Their new home is a fixer-upper that belongs to a family friend. Andrea is rather bitter about moving to a new town and living in a fixer-upper. She has some major trust issues, but somehow her new neighbor Gabby is able to put her at ease. Gabby seems to have it all together. She has an immaculate house, delicious snacks, and a teenage son she blogs about frequently. But is Gabby really a good friend or does she have other intentions? When odd things happen, Andrea is unsure if she is imagining it or if Terry’s gambling problem has returned. Will Andrea be able to discover the truth before it’s too late?
I am a huge Nicole Trope fan and this one did not disappoint! While I did figure out some of the twists early on, Trope delivered even more twists I did not see coming. It was a very twisty book. What else do you expect from Trope really? The epilogue was the biggest twist of all—one that you definitely won’t see coming. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves twisty thrillers! 4/5 stars.
