The Five: The Lives of Jack the Ripper's Women by Hallie Rubenhold

Rubenhold paints the lives of these women and really gives them the dignity and humanity that’s very often lost in the mythology of Jack the Ripper. It’s hard to hear about the struggles they faced and I found myself hoping for a happy ending before remembering what book I was reading.
