Extremely gratuitous and performative gore and that was the better of the three stories, plot-wise. Author’s note made me feel bad for disliking it as he seems like a thoughtful person, but this was not my cup of tea to the n’th degree. To me, it reads like a grotesque version of Iain Reid’s work. I was after something more like Mona Awad or Agustina Bazterrica.
