The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

5.0

I rarely do reviews, but here goes:

I refuse to believe that I can’t, for all 20 years of the life I’ve spent here—which this book has accurately addressed how broke I because of it—remember having ever encountered this wonderful book. I saw it was recommended quite a bit, but kept pushing it aside because it was deemed a children’s book; however, as an adult I must say I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

This masterpiece truly transcends age and time—it ages like fine wine. As a lover of word play and puns, I couldn’t get enough. The fantasy genre isn’t a personal favorite , yet the book managed to capture my interest immediately and make me chuckle quite a bit. My only regret is having not read this sooner, and the only bad thing is it is it ended. I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone who can appreciate the Juster punster!
