Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew J. Sullivan

Another spooky season book down. While this was less suspense and more mystery and history, I did enjoy it as an October read. The characters were diverse and lively, the premise was well thought out, and the switching between past and present worked well. While I guessed the identity of the Hammerman once Joey’s full identity was revealed, I had no idea quite how… horrifying it would get once more was revealed. If you want murder vibes but less spook factor, this is a good choice.
